My name is Benjamin F. Dribus. I am a 38-year-old math professor and chair of the math department at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. My research focuses on applications of order theory and algebra to topics in theoretical physics, particularly fundamental spacetime structure and quantum gravity. I recently published a Springer Physics book on this subject, titled Discrete Causal Theory: Emergent Spacetime and the Causal Metric Hypothesis. Secondary research interests involve applications of generalized cohomology theories to topics in algebraic geometry; including K-theoretic approaches to the theory of Chow groups.
